Faculty Mini-Grants support course-based activities that integrate sustainability into the curriculum. Applicants may request up to $500 for projects, guest speakers, field trips, or other activities that enhance experiential learning and engage undergraduate and graduate students in sustainability. Emphasis will be placed on courses that use the campus as a living laboratory and seek to link classroom teaching to local and regional ecosystems, economics, and social and community networks. Any University of Georgia faculty or graduate student teaching a course is eligible to apply.

Apply by completing the Office of Sustainability Faculty Mini-Grant Application Form. Applications for fall semester are due by August 1, 2018 and for spring semester by January 1, 2018.

Award recipients must complete a project report form documenting how funds were spent, including photos if applicable, by June 30 of the award year. Proposed expenditures must conform to state funding guidelines. Students engaged in sustainability research and learning are invited and encouraged to present their work at the Semester in Review.
