Eligibility

Grants are available to all current full-time UGA students with a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Award Amount

A maximum of $5,000 is available for individual projects. Successfully approved proposals will receive funding based on merit and feasibility. The number of projects awarded is dependent upon total funds available.

Requirements

Pre-Proposal applications required for projects involving UGA Housing or changes to the campus landscape.

Final Grant Proposal applications require:  

  1. Project Overview (up to 2 pages)
  2. Budget Plan
  3. Implementation Plan (up to 4 pages)
  4. Communications and Engagement Plan (up to 2 pages)
  5. Faculty/Staff Sponsor Letter of Support

Schedule

Pre-Proposal
Accepted between October 1 and the second Friday in October.

Final Proposals
Due by 9am on the third Monday of November.

Awards
Awards are announced in December on Reading Day.

Final Reports
Final reports are due and funds must be spent by June 30.

Note: Proposals that deviate from campus standards require approval by the Campus Environs Advisory Group. Approval requires several weeks advance notice.
