UGA faculty from all disciplines are invited to participate in the 7th annual faculty development workshop focused on integrating sustainability into the curriculum on May 7 and 8, 2018.

The workshop will provide inspiration, strategies, and examples for engaging students to prepare them to address the challenges of sustainability in their professional, civic, and personal lives regardless of discipline.  This workshop also provides an opportunity to modify existing or new courses, so they qualify for the new undergraduate and graduate certificate in Sustainability (

This one-and-a-half-day workshop will include interdisciplinary interactions, definitions and examples of sustainability, large and small group discussions, ideas for student engagement, a tour of on-campus sustainability sites, and insight from past workshop participants.  Opportunities to engage students in experiential learning will be highlighted.

Faculty development awards of $500 are available for up to 20 participants who attend the workshop and submit a revised or new syllabus to incorporate sustainability.  Proposals are accepted from all current UGA faculty.
