Courses
Students are required to take a minimum of 17 credit hours to earn the Sustainability Certificate. See the Requirements and Guidelines page for details. The Certificate consists of the following components:
- Anchor ( 3 credit hours )
- One course from each of 3 spheres (Ecological, Economic, Social) (9 credit hours)
- Two semseters of the Seminar (SUST 4200/6200, 2 credit hours)
- Capstone (SUST 4500/6500 3 credit hours)
- Portfolio
Students may apply for a substitution for requirements on their checklist. However, student must take at least one semester of the official Sustainability Seminar (SUST 4200/6200) to graduate with the Sustainability Certificate. All substitutions must meet the spirit of the requirement and must have a sustainability focus.
